Hi! I am “cooking up” an exciting school year for your child!
Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Jessica Brink. This will be my 8th year teaching here at HuronAcademy. I graduated in 2002 from EasternMichiganUniversity. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a major in mathematics and a minor in science. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from SaginawValleyStateUniversity.
You can expect a challenging but exciting school year. Your first grader will be involved in learning through Saxon Phonics and Saxon Math. These programs are intensive but provide excellent results. We will be learning about our world in Social Studies and Science. Your child will also be reading and discussing numerous books and stories; developing his or her writing skills by writing a variety of narratives, stories, poems, and factual pieces; and learning to be good spellers.
