Hello and welcome to second grade! My name is Miss Julie Costanza and this is my sixth year teaching at Huron Academy. I graduated in 2005 from Central Michigan University with a degree in elementary education, and shortly after I began teaching at Huron.

In my classroom I strive to keep an active, enjoyable learning environment. I encourage my students to build on their own creativity and problem-solving skills through class discussions and hands-on activities. Parents are always welcome to volunteer their time to help our class by chaperoning field trips and assisting with holiday parties and class activities.

A little about myself: In my free time I enjoy reading new books, exercising, taking karate lessons, and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy walking my little dog Poochie, and playing with my cat Tabby. I love working with children and helping them develop a passion for learning. I look forward to a fulfilling school year.
