Hello, my name is Jennifer Casbar. I have been teaching First Grade at Huron Academy since 2005. I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelors of Science in Education. I also have a major in science. In May of 2011, I earned my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley State University. In my spare time I enjoy reading, bowling, arts & crafts, walking my dogs and spending time with my family & friends.

My name is Sharon DaPra. I graduated from Wayne State University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I also received a major in Science and an Early Childhood endorsement. I am currently working on finishing my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley State University. I have had many years of experience working with children. I taught preschool for six years prior to completing my Bachelor’s degree and have classroom experience in Kindergarten through grade six. I started teaching Kindergarten at Huron Academy in 2000. I have received the 2005 Outstanding Teacher award from the Board of Huron Academy and have been recognized for excellence in teaching from Ferris State University’s Charter School Office. I have also been nominated as Teacher of the Week in The Detroit News.
My name is Ericka Gouin. In 2005 I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a major in Language Arts. I recently completed my Masters degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment at Marygrove College.I have worked at Huron Academy since 2006. I taught middle school before moving down to first grade and really enjoy working with children of all ages! In my spare time I enjoy reading, staying active, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. I feel very fortunate to work in such a wonderful school where all of the staff and families work together!
My name is Mrs. Jennifer Wolshon and I started working at Huron Academy in 2001. My educational background includes teaching many grade levels and subject areas, where I was able to gain valuable experience in the classroom. I graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, as well as a Masters Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership. I also earned an additional Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley State University. This degree will help me to better understand young children and the ways in which they learn.
I am married and have four Chihuahua puppies: Sam, Pudge, Jellybean, and Chewbacca. During my free time, my husband and I enjoy visiting family, traveling up north, and playing with our dogs.
