This is Mrs. Gill’s first year as Assistant Principal at Huron Academy.
Mrs. Gill has very strong passion for education from when she first began her career in 2002. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with minors in English Language Arts, Science and Structures of Discipline from Eastern Michigan University. She has also earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through Oakland University.
Mrs. Gill started her career in education as a 2nd grade teacher in a charter school in Detroit. She has also had the opportunity to work in Rochester Community Schools and Berkley Community Schools as she pursued her Masters Degree. She had a brief position as an Education Consultant supporting principals using Title 1 money for advancement in technology. Her last leadership role for the past 2 years was working as a Curriculum Director in Hamtramck.
Mrs. Gill is a member of the association for supervision and curriculum development organization. She has demonstrated strong ability in leadership and continues to be dedicated and enthusiastic about education reform. She is very passionate for student achievement and welfare. She will combine her range of experience with her ability to be compassionate and an intelligent leader who will make a positive contribution to Huron Academy.
