My name is Jena Lenz and I am in my sixth year of teaching at Huron Academy. I am a graduate of Oakland University earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a major in Language Arts. I am also proud to state that I recently earned a Masters’ Degree in Educational Leadership from Oakland University as well.  As a teacher, I set high, yet achievable expectations of all my students. This allows the students to challenge themselves to work harder as individuals. This in turn results in the students feeling more confident, which will then lead in building a positive self esteem.    

I am a firm believer that parent/teacher communication is the foundation to a successful year in the classroom. Throughout the year, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to come to me.
