Use this folder to organize all of your PTC information!
The PTC’s purpose is to assist with and enhance the school experience for all students. Through fundraising and volunteer efforts, we are able to provide family events, educational assemblies, special treats, and new or updated equipment for the school. Recently the PTC funded the purchase of brand-new laptop computers to support the language-arts curriculum!
Every parent and teacher at Huron is automatically a member of the Parent/Teacher Club.
It is only through your help that we can turn plans into successes.
The biggest way you can support your PTC is to attend the monthly meetings.
Meetings are usually the first Tuesday of the month (see calendar for exact dates) and they serve two vital purposes: They keep you informed and allow you to share your thoughts on plans and decisions.Your involvement is your most valuable contribution! In addition to attending meetings, here are some other ways you can support the PTC’s efforts:
Volunteer!Return the enclosed volunteer form to help out with PTC fundraisers and events. Also, whenever you have a free day, be a lunch parent—teachers don’t get a lunch break without one!
Clip!Watch products for Labels for Education (USE UPC CODES), Boxtops for Education, or Tyson Project A+ labels (see enclosed letter).Turn in to your child’s teacher.
Swipe!Apply for community rewards cards at Meijer (code 245079), Target, and Gordon Foods. Be sure to assign the rewards to HuronAcademy, and don’t forget to swipe those cards at checkout!
Shop!If you shop at VG’s grocery store, save your receipts and turn them in to your child’s teacher. VG’s donates a percentage of sales to HuronAcademy.
Support!Support our fundraisers by selling or purchasing at least one item.
Donate!Contribute books to the library or make a cash donation by sending a check through the office or your class, made out to Huron Academy PTC, with “donation” in the memo line.Business owners, increase awareness by donating prizes or gift certificates for the annual Coney Night raffle or renting tables at select events!
Participate!In addition to PTC meetings, participate in activities and events such as Casual Days, Fun Run, Carnival Game Night, and many more! See the calendar for a complete list of planned events.
Please note, all checks written to Huron Academy PTC will be deposited within 24 hours of receipt.
There is a $15 fee for each returned check.
