Computer Teacher
Hello! My name is Paul Achs and I am the Computer/Technology Teacher for Grades 3-8 at Huron Academy. I graduated from Oakland University in 2013 with my degree in Elementary Education and I have a strong background in technology. I am excited to explore the wonderful world of technology with students! 3rd-5th grade students will be exploring topics that include Internet Safety, Keyboarding, Desktop Publishing, Google Tools, and more! Students will also work to enhance their skills on a computer! Middle School students will get to learn about a variety of topics throughout different enhancement classes that are offered. These classes are Digital Publications where students create stories for a digital student newsletter, Digital Video Production, where students learn about filmmaking and practice using cameras and other equipment to create student films., and Digital Applications, where students dabble in various topics every 2-3 weeks. These topics include Web Design, Game Design, Keyboarding, Photo Editing, and Digital Sculpting, among others!
In my spare time, I love to watch movies and read. I am a huge fan of Taylor Swift, Star Wars, and superheroes! I am married and have two children. I am looking forward to working with all of the great students at Huron Academy!
