Paula Bremerkamp

Principal, Title IX Investigator, 504 Coordinator, Homeless Children Liaison 

Mrs. Bremerkamp serves as Principal, 504 Coordinator, and Homeless Student Liasion. She has been at Huron Academy in various positions since 2001. Most of her time is spent at the Metro Campus supporting our youngest students. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Wayne State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Saginaw Valley State University.

Mrs. Bremerkamp is responsible for Huron Academy’s character education program, including organizing valuable assemblies and classroom presentations.  She is also the leader of the school recycling program and works diligently to teach students the importance of recycling in the school and community.

In addition, she focuses on student behavior and conflict, teaching students to resolve these conflicts effectively. She teaches skill sets that encourage students to use appropriate behavior in all circumstances. This lends itself to better student interactions, and in general, a safer, congenial school atmosphere.

Mrs. Bremerkamp has a passion for fostering relationships with students, staff and families, and believes that healthy, solid relationships are the core basis for a positive school climate.  She works closely with teachers, the social work team, and families, to assist students to pursue personal excellence.
