First Grade Teacher

My name is Andrea Ropes. I am excited to be your child’s first grade teacher. I started my teaching career at Huron Academy in 2002. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood, Language Arts, and Science. Before coming to Huron Academy, I taught preschool for six years. I have always loved working with children of all ages.

I believe communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. My preferred method is through Class Dojo. You can also contact me through e-mail or leave a message at school at (586) 446-9170. I will mainly be contacting you through Classroom Dojo. All classroom information such as homework, the newsletter, dress code, a monthly calendar, etc…can be found on our classroom website.
