Mrs. Gardella

Curriculum & Instruction Specialist/Literacy Coach

My name is Ashley Gardella, and I have been a part of the Huron Academy family since 2015. I graduated from Wayne State University in 2010 with a degree in Cognitive Impairments and Elementary Education. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach students in K–8 special education as well as first and second grade classrooms.

Today, I serve as Huron Academy’s Curriculum & Instruction Specialist and Literacy Coach, where I have the privilege of supporting both students and teachers. I truly believe that helping others become the best version of themselves is my greatest strength. Whether I’m coaching teachers, collaborating with families, or supporting students, I thrive when I can make a positive difference.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two boys. You’ll also find me cake decorating, cheering at my boys’ sporting events, or planning our next family adventure.

I love connecting with families and believe that strong partnerships make a huge difference in student success. If you ever have questions, ideas, or just want to introduce yourself, please don’t hesitate to stop by and say hello!
