Ms. Gibson

Hello awesome Second Graders and Families!

I am Brenda Gibson and I’m thrilled to begin my second year at Huron Academy and also my second year of teaching Second Grade! I have had the extreme pleasure and joy of also teaching First Grade for three years and am excited to enter my fifth year of teaching with an amazing group of educators in a great community.

A little bit more about me: I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education degree from The Ohio State University and Master of Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. I began my career working in collegiate athletics but quickly learned that my true passion was found in lower elementary education. These are crucial years that set the foundation for a growing and prosperous educational journey and I am excited to play a small role on their road to success. My goal for all my students is to create a safe environment conducive for learning through hands-on activities, collaboration and exploration. I want my students and families to remember their experience in Second Grade and know that anything is possible!
