 Dress Code 

The Huron Academy dress code will be strictly adhered to. There will be no exceptions. If students report to school out of dress code they may be sent to the main office and a parent/guardian will be contacted to bring appropriate attire. Students will not be allowed to return to class until appropriately dressed.

  1. Students will wear uniform shirts.
    1. Polo shirts with collars in either navy blue or white. Shirts may be long or short-sleeved. Solid colors only (no logos please). Shirts are to be tucked in at all times.
    2. Official Huron Academy shirts, long sleeves, sweatshirts and hoodies may be worn any day.
  2. Boys will wear uniform-style pants.
    1. Navy blue or khaki-colored, proportionately fit slacks or navy blue or khaki-colored shorts that may not be more than two inches above the knee.
    2. No jeans, denim, joggers, sweatpants, or basketball shorts.
  3. Girls will wear uniform-style pants, skirts, or jumpers.
    1. Navy blue or khaki-colored, proportionately fit slacks, skirts, skorts, shorts, or jumpers that may not be more than two inches above the knee.
    2. No jeans, denim, yoga pants, leggings, joggers, bike shorts, or sweats. (Girls may wear solid white or navy-colored leggings only when wearing a skirt, skorts, or jumper).
  4. Girls must wear a pair of matching bike shorts underneath skirts or jumpers.
  5. Socks of any color or pattern are allowed. (Please refrain from logos, symbols, graphics, etc. that may be considered offensive.)
  6. Athletic tennis, or gym shoes may be worn. These are preferred for safety reasons. Fashion boots with no heels may be worn. Students may wear any color or pattern they wish. (Please refrain from light-up shoes or logos, symbols, graphics, etc. that may be considered offensive.)
    1. No sandals, slippers, slides, Crocs (or similar), open-toe shoes, or other styles not outlined above will be permitted.
    2. Snow boots may be worn during winter to and from school, but cannot be worn during the school day. Please bring shoes to change into.
  7. Sweaters, sweatshirts, and hoodies may be worn with a collared shirt.
    1.  Solid navy blue or white (no designs or logos).
    2. Huron Academy and/or Four House Crest sweatshirt.
    3. Hoods may not be worn in the classroom, lunchroom, or hallways.
  8. No excessive make-up or jewelry.
  9. No hats and/or hoods are to be worn in the classroom, lunchroom, or hallways.
    1. Huron Academy hats are allowed to be worn on Fridays.
  10. Students belonging to school clubs, organization, or scouting may wear their club shirts on Wednesdays only.
  11. Students may color their hair/and or apply nail polish to their fingernails with parental permission. The Academy prefers student hair color and hairstyles not to be a distraction to others. Nail polish cannot be offensive or inappropriate and nails should be clean and neat at all times.
  12. No political attire.
  13. Students should maintain proper hygiene at all times.

Some items may be deemed offensive, objectionable, and/or excessive and will be determined by the Administration.
