Mrs. Mills
Kindergarten Teacher
Hello and welcome to Huron Academy! My name is Mrs. Mills and this is my seventh year of teaching at Huron Academy. After teaching art for a semester, I transitioned to kindergarten and love it! I am married and have four children, two grandsons, one grand daughter, one cat and a dog. In my spare time, I love to read, camp and spend time with my family.
In my kindergarten classroom, I believe children learn best through play. Therefore, my students spend a large part of their day engaged in hands-on activities. My goal is to encourage my students to develop a joy for lifelong learning and a belief in their own abilities. I have high expectations and I encourage my students to work hard to meet their goals. Kindergarten is a year for mastering foundational skills both social and academic. I look forward to working together in reaching these goals. I love volunteers and you will have the opportunity to sign up to volunteer, donate classroom items or volunteer to help with class events.
Please contact me if you are interested! I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year and I look forward to meeting you. Together we can make this year the best year possible for your child. Please feel free to contact me via email at millsr@huronacademy.org with any questions or concerns.
