Ms. G

Hello,

My name is Ms. G, and I am the new School Social Worker at Huron Academy. I joined the team this school year, and it has been a true pleasure working alongside such a phenomenal group of educators and administrators.

I have worked with children for nearly 20 years, and I am passionate about supporting their growth, learning, and perseverance. My background is in Childhood Development, and I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work.

A fun fact about me is that I also work part-time as a clinical therapist for adolescents and teens, and before pursuing social work, I was a personal chef. Outside of work, I’m enjoying my newest and most rewarding role—being a grandmother! When I’m not working, I love spending quality time with my children and family.

If I could be a superhero, I would choose Wonder Woman—so I could fly when I’m tired of driving and use her lasso of truth to help my clients see that honesty and self-awareness are powerful tools for growth. My goal is always to meet students where they are and support them in building the coping skills they need to move forward and thrive.
