Ms. Greenwood
Middle School Teacher
Hello! My name is Lisa Greenwood and I have been with the Huron Academy community since 2021. I currently teach middle school English Language Arts. My prior experience includes teaching high school Honors English and Speech Communications, as well as middle school Social Studies, and Bible.
I graduated from Wayne State University and completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary English and Speech Education. I have many years of experience implementing curriculum, testing, and have taken professional courses to further my understanding of instruction, classroom management, and content.
My favorite people are my two teenage daughters who keep me very busy when I am not in the classroom. We love our sweet little pug, Rosie, who joined our family three years ago. Spending time with my family is my joy. I have four sisters and two brothers who all have families of their own, so it’s a great time when we are together.
Each school year, I look very forward to meeting my students and learning about them. I love teaching and I enjoy helping students learn how to write and analyze reading material for the purpose of relating it to their own experiences and lives. I am excited for the new year to begin!
