Mr. Girling

My name is Mr.Girling and this is my first year at Huron Academy. I was born and raised in Clinton Township, Michigan. I attended Chippewa Valley High School and attained my bachelors degree at Oakland University.

Outside of the classroom I am a huge fan of hockey and the Red Wings, being a season ticket holder for two years. I also play in a recreational hockey league with a group of friends. Other than hockey, I also enjoy golfing, swimming, and working out. My family has a cottage up north that I also enjoy spending time at throughout the summer.

I am very excited to join the Huron Academy middle school team teaching 7th and 8th grade social studies. I am hoping to provide thought provoking and challenging lessons through discussion and inquiry.
