Mr. Tury

Hello! My name is Matthew Tury. This is my 10th year in education and my first year at Huron Academy. I am very excited to be teaching fifth grade this year. I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Ed (K-8), and a certification in Social Studies. Outside of the classroom I coached football for several years and believe it is the best sport for building character. 

I have been married for over twenty years, and am the proud father of two children. My favorite activity outside of school is attending my kids’ sporting events. I am a Detroit Lions and Tigers season ticket holder and attend as many games as possible. I also enjoy attending concerts, reading, motorcycles, comic books, and spending time with my family.
