Kindergarten Teacher

Hello and Welcome to Kindergarten!  My name is Tara Miller and I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten.  I have been at Huron Academy since 2012 and I am so grateful to be a part of such a great community.  I graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education and a major in Language Arts.  In addition, I also graduated from Saginaw Valley State University, with a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  I have worked with students from preschool to sixth grade, but have a passion for teaching kindergarten.  I am looking forward to a great year. My goal is for my students to be actively engaged in hands-on activities and learn new skills that will prepare them to be successful in their academic and social development.  Kindergarten is an important year in a child’s life and I am glad to be working with you and your child throughout this school year.  Having a parent/teacher relationship is important so please feel free to contact me after school or email me anytime at millert@huronacademy.org.
