World Cultures/World Language Teacher

Hello! My name is Beatrice Qushku, and this year I will be teaching World Cultures and Intro to Italian to middle school students. I am very happy to be part of Huron Academy’s wonderful community.

My academic background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in teaching Secondary Albanian Language and Arts. I taught this subject for a couple of years in my homeland country, Albania, to middle school and then high school students. I lived in Italy for many years, and I got to know very well the language and the culture of this beautiful country. I got certified in the Italian language as well, and I am very excited to teach Intro to Italian this year. Also, I finished a post-bachelor English endorsement at Oakland University that will be added to my Teaching Certificate. On the weekends, I teach Albanian to the children and adults of the Albanian community in a local cultural center.

My passion for teaching comes from the desire to help, support, and encourage students every day to grow and progress academically, socially, and emotionally. My favorite activities in my spare time are spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading, listening to music, cooking, and painting.
