Middle School Teacher

Hello!

My name is Marvella Scott and I teach 3rd Grade at Huron Academy. Welcome to my classroom! I graduated from University of Phoenix with my Bachelor’s Degree, and I also hold a Master’s Degree in Education. I might look familiar, as I was the building sub for all grades, here at Huron Academy last year. This year I will be teaching 3rd grade and I am very excited and honored to be a part of the Huron Family. I am married and have a son who also attends Huron Academy. My Husband is a Police Officer for the City of Detroit, you can say we both have a passion for serving our community. In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and finding new pIaces in Michigan to explore. I truly enjoy helping kids see the joy and pleasure that learning brings. I am overjoyed to begin this school year teaching 3rd grade. Communication is vital for any successful classroom and as such I place a high emphasis on it.
