A Message from Mr. Sobczak

Friends and Families,

We just wrapped up our first four weeks of the school year, and what a fun month it has been! From our Student Ambassador program, which sees new students bonding with returning students over games and
pizza, to our first batch of NWEA testing, we’ve had a number of opportunities for students to engage in activities that challenge them academically and help them grow socially and emotionally. October will bring many more of those opportunities: PTC’s Trunk or Treat Event, Destination Imagination, Chess Club, as well as upcomingathletic activities being put together by our new Athletic Director, Mr. Pete Trammell.

Another thing that October brings is cooler weather – make sure that you’re sending your child to school in dress code appropriate sweaters and sweatshirts when needed, and make sure that their name is written on the tag or inside in case it’s ever lost or misplaced.

Finally, I’m optimistic that October will bring about the end of the construction that has been plaguing both campuses. We appreciate your continued patience with the logistical challenges this past month. I’m aware of the added stress it has caused, and unfortunately that stress has led to a select few yelling at parents/staff members and/or violating rules in a way that endangers others, including our students. This is not going to be tolerated, and may result in being banned from our campuses – let’s be better and set the right example for our children!
