A Message from Mr. Sobczak

Greeting Huron Academy Families,

Last month, I shared an article with tips to help keep your kids motivated throughout the final days of the school year (https://tinyurl.com/v58489p9). With just over 30 school days remaining, I encourage you to check this out, as well as other resources we’ll be sharing periodically on our Facebook page. These last few weeks can sometimes feel tiring, for staff, students, and parents alike. However, our teachers are still working hard developing important lessons and activities that are vital to the developmental and academic success of our kids, so if we carry a positive attitude with us, so will the students, and they’ll be better prepared and rested by the start of the next school year.

The good news is that in addition to the end of year testing and wrap-up procedures in our classrooms, we also have a wide variety of events, from Science Olympiad to the Staff Kickball Game, to keep things fun and exciting for everyone. Much of this is due to the hard work of our teachers, who will be celebrated May 8th – May 12th during Teacher Appreciation Week.

While the administration team (and our amazing PTC group) have activities planned for the week, I encourage our families to recognize them with a kind message, social media shout-out, or a gift card to their favorite coffee shop. Their dedication to our children is what makes the world go round, and their hard work and devotion is the only way to ensure a future worth living in; anything you can do to show appreciation will most certainly help them in keeping a positive environment as we inch toward the end of the school year.

We owe our teachers that, and we appreciate the support of our Huron Academy families.
