A Message from Mr. Sobczak

Greeting Huron Academy Families,

It was great seeing so many of you at conferences! Things have been very busy at the school, with guest readers, the book fair, Destination Imagination and Science Olympiad competitions, volleyball kicking off, and of course the aforementioned conferences. With today being the first “official” day of spring break, I hope you and your children have a very relaxing and refreshing week off – you deserve it!

When we come back from break, spring testing begins for all students. With it being the 4th quarter of the school year, we know that testing is oftentimes not a huge priority for kids, but with catered breakfasts, effort prizes ranging from gift cards to sports equipment, and a “fun run” event in the middle of it, the staff at Huron Academy is working hard to keep our students engaged and having fun while they work hard and learn. Keep your eyes on your email inbox and our social media pages for more details.

Speaking of 4th quarter, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you’ve submitted your re-enrollment paperwork to the office. Enrollment at Huron Academy has never been higher, and our waitlist grows by the day. We want to keep spots secured for current families, so if you have questions or concerns about the process, please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff!

Lastly, with the end of the year slowly but surely approaching, here is a very short article with tips to help keep your kids motivated throughout the final months of the school year: https://www.understood.org/en/articles/9-tips-to-keep-grade-schoolers-from-checking-out-at-the-end-of-the-school-year

We are looking forward to a great 4th quarter, and as always, appreciate the support of our Huron Academy families.
